Hi Biggs, it's saying no record, have you given the right address, have tried various times, including making all the didgets lower case, copy and pasting then removing the spaces, but to no avail. |

Posting links is a me-only thing cos I'm special , but TinyURL is a useful tool to shorten stuff - and anyone can use it: http://tinyurl.com/ _________________ Digital Editor

| Had to share thanks. The radio news you were listening too was ironic. |

Young drivers.
I have noticed an odd change recently.
Followed a long queue behind a shopping car, eventually got to front - man about 30 - miles at 40mph in a 60.
And there are loads like him now, not careful, nor fast, but driving very like the archetypical 90 year old woman.
Also lots of aggressive young women now.
Just about the only people who go near the limit now appear to be the older drivers.
My car is a lot better at fuel in the mid 50s, around 40 will not even hold top gear. |

| It puzzles me why anyone would want, or need an in-car camera, apart from the Rozzers of course. |

There are still a lot of accidents, this way you have proof if it is the other persons fault |

I would have agreed with your thoughts, until March 2009 ........ this always happens to someone else ....... or so I thought.
.
Long story short, I was accused of hitting another vehicle and failing to stop (the latter being the most serious bit of course), there were five witnesses, and I had indeed been in the area that day.
.
I had of course done nothing, other than attend a service call at a factory in the area, it took nine months and a lot of good work by West Mercia, and West Midlands Police to resolve the issue, during which time I had my ncb removed etc.
.
I became aware, from the Police, just how common this situation is now, it is very bad for HGV drivers.
.
The camera I, and a lot of fleets now use, is a Roadhawk.
.
Having the camera is a double edged sword though, it records my position, speed, and even G forces, as well as the video footage .......... it'll "convict" you as well as clear you. |
