Hi Everyone!
My husband and I are planning on moving to the suburbs of Worcester in the summer of 2012. Does anyone have any suggestions on which areas are good to live in?
We have a 3 year old son and an 8 year old daughter, so a good schools are a top priority.
Thanks everyone!

Have a look at Callow End or Powick.
Both are nice areas with the excellent local junior schools and Hanley School is second to none locally.
Both villages have a tight knit, friendly, local community, who all seem to look out for each other. (esp. Callow End.)
House prices are reasonable and not hiked up over the odds as with neighbouring Malvern.
Good luck with the move anyhow. |

| Not sure you could call Callow End or Powick suburbs, which is where Casey wants to move to. St Peters is good for families. |

| The major factor Casey, as ever, is what is your budget for purchase/rental ? |

Hi there,
Go for Barbourne, Northwick, Bevere or Claines areas these are actually in Worcester. Local schools good, supermarkets and other facilities nearby. Plus lovely walks along the riverside. |

| Been doing some research and Northwick seems like a very good option and there's also a golf course nearby which is good for the hubbie! |

I believe that Biggles has been escorted from the forum, promising never to return. He'd turned insensitivity into an art form... |

Well I miss old Biggsie. But I can understand him going, especially with the amount of people who seemed to have it in for him, and looking for reasons to be outraged, pathetic really.
I have considered moving on, but I've decided I'm not going to be bullied off the forum, and anyway as the person with the most hits for postings I must be doing something right. |

That's odd. I thought he went because he was warned about putting WN in a difficult position legally, for making libellous and/or illegal comments. Same as you've been warned on several occasions. |

Well Maggie, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. True I have been "advised" when Sir thought he needed to pull the reins in a bit, and within reason I took it. I was even advised when Sir thought a complaint by just one person, on an item that was showing thousands of hits, was unnecessary. The point was I decided to take the advice and take a step back, where as Biggsie obviously under the pressure of the onslaught of haters lost the plot, and I can't blame him for that.
As the great Sir Terry says, there will always be someone, probably with their own agenda who is sat waiting phone, pen or mouse in hand to be outraged. Sad really. |
